Faced with deepening depression and a half-existence disconnected from society, Just A Ghost is an electronic memory of chemical oblivion and anger, the sound of joy slowly dying, a mind closing down, floating around a life not lived.
The second album from Rick Senley’s I Am A Man With A St Tropez Tan is industrial techno, with punk guitars and the chimes of The Cure; drones and chants, girl gangs fighting on decaying seafronts, German television, mediums talking to the dead, the rasp of knives and an Eastern tea ceremony, a stylophone and hacked violins with medication to stop the falling and meditation as a failed answer.
